Can Dogs Eat Marshmallows?
A plain marshmallow is not toxic to dogs but is essentially pure sugar and corn syrup, providing zero nutritional value and promoting obesity, dental decay, and pancreatitis. The real danger lies in sugar-free marshmallows sweetened with xylitol, which are deadly. Even a single regular marshmallow can cause gastrointestinal upset in sensitive dogs due to the high sugar and aerated structure. If a marshmallow is used to hide a pill, it should be an extremely infrequent, tiny piece.
